Forget public transport - get a taxi!

Always allow more than enough time for your journey though. The most efficient way to travel to and from either of the airports in San Paolo is by taxi. Reasonably priced, they offer a safe way of getting about. International travellers arrive at the Guarulhos Airport . From here the Airport Bus Service (costing the equivalent of £12) connects the airport with the city. But despite San Paulo being only 16 miles away, the bus journey might take one or two hours, depending on traffic. Domestic Congonhas Airport is even closer - just seven miles from the city, it is also best reached by taxi.

"Lovely large room but disappointed about the size of the small double bed. Room was also very hot in the mornings. Tea and coffee refreshments were not topped up during our stay. Apart from the above comments a lovely hotel with lots of character."

"The reception when we arrived was great. The staff member greeted us as we approached the desk and our room was ready. The key card didn’t work but a member of the housekeeping team allowed us access to our room. The breakfast team were friendly and accommodating."

"The lady on reception upgraded me to a King room from a Queen. Very friendly, arranged a taxi for me, as due to the local council Uber's don't go from there. Room service was good, food lovely.
