Not great, but good.

Clean rooms and bedding, in a fairly nice (though not particularly interesting) part of Berlin. Very close to the S-Bahn, some noise though we had no trouble sleeping at night. Wifi was fine. Tea was nice, and the small pastries were as well. Feels cosy, though not as luxurious as the star rating may have you to believe. Only issue I had was that apparently there is a closing time in the lobby. The reception is always open, but apparently the use of the lobby ends at 00:00 (24:00, or 12AM). I was trying to catch up on work related emails on their public computer (Linux, very old and somewhat slow operating system) and complete other administrative tasks (I didn't bring my laptop and didn't want to disturb the other person I was staying with), and was up somewhat late in the lobby. To his credit, the receptionist did let me stay over, but was fairly curt in addressing the matter of closing(I was made to feel really unwelcome). It would be nice if there were a time open/close sign, or if he could possibly be a bit nicer in address? Maybe it was a language or cultural barrier, though. All of the receptionists spoke good English, most were friendly-- the men were a bit curt but all were fine. They seemed warmer in address to the German speakers, but overall it was a perfectly fine experience.

Vanha hieno rakennus erinomaisella sijainnilla. Rauhallinen alue, josta on hyvä lähteä tutkimaan kaupunkia. Voi suositella. 3,5 kilometriä Kurfusterdammia pitkin Kaiser Wilhelm -kirkolle ja Tiergarteniin. Matkalla "kaikki" maailman merkkiliikkeet. Bussit ovat hyvä vaihtoehto kävelylle. Zoologischer Gartenilta bussi 100 Alexanderplatzille ajelee nähtävyyksien ohi ja Alexanderplatzilta edullinen juna uudehkolle lentoasemalle jokusella eurolla.

Der Standort des Hotels ist gut, da in drei Gehminuten eine S-Station erreichbar ist. Doch leider war das Personal unfreundlich, das Zimmer nur genügend ausgestattet und wurde nur oberflächlich gereinigt. Das Badezimmer ist sehr schlecht ausgebaut. Sobald die Dusche benutzt wurde, stand das gesamte Bad unter Wasser, da kein Vorhang vorhanden ist. Es ist lediglich eine Glaswand, welche nur einen Drittel der Dusche abdeckt, vorhanden. Leider war auch die Hotelbar nicht geöffnet. So dass die Getränke aus der Minibar genommen werden mussten. Bei den Temperaturen, wären wir froh um eine Klimaanlage gewesen. Oder wir hätten uns schon nur gefreut, wenn die Vorhänge nicht geöffnet worden wären, da wir die Morgen- wie auch die Mittagssonne in unserem Zimmer hatten. So konnte sich der kleine Raum wunderbar aufheizen. Durch das unfreundliche Personal an der Rezeption verging uns auch die Lust im Hotel zu Frühstücken und uns Infos über den Aufenthalt in Berlin einzuholen. Dies war sehr schade, da wir uns lange auf den Ausflug gefreut haben.
