Terrible check-in and check-out experience; unfriendly staff, no one at reception upon arrival, no details of booking, sad it would take 15mins to check in and 5 mins to check out, completely inefficient and unfriendly reception desk

Perfect

This is the second time we have stayed here and will always stay here from now on when we go to Berlin. Excellent value for money, perfect location, can't wait to go back.

Disappointing start to our city break

I cannot unfortunately review the Sir F. K. Savigny as when we arrived we were told they had no record of our booking, but were still happy to arrange to move us to their sister hotel the Wyndham Excelsior as they had no rooms available. Granted we enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham, however, the treatment and lack of empathy from the Savigny staff for the mix up was unsatisfactory. We were looking forward to 3 nights in a boutique hotel when we then get shafted to a huge hotel with a tiny room. Won't be recommending friends there.

Great Location, Stylish but that's it.

The good: - superb location: minutes from S-Bahn and very quick to get into centre of town. Savigny square and surrounding area is full of lovely restaurants and pubs with a great atmosphere, Ku-dam the shopping street is a few minutes walk away. So much nicer than centre of town. also plenty of places to have breakfast from as little as EUR 28 for a croissant & coffee! - very stylish. I liked the black & white minimalist look etc. - great breakfast. (18 euro, 12 if you commit for the whole stay in advance) -very comfortable bed !!! - free WIFI was OK but too slow for internet calls. The less good: - tiny room. It's 19sqm but on the top floor the eaves infringe and it is almost claustrophobic. There isn't enough storage for two people and the walls are marked because there is little space to move. thanks to the superb interior design it felt ok though. - bar very expensive. 9 euro for a G&T ??!! - I felt mislead by the website. The place is quite small, the lounge is also small and although very smart not a place you would want to spend a lot of time in. Not a problem for me personally. - Air condition not nearly powerful enough on hot days. Summary. I am glad I stayed there because it is a cool place and the super location. be aware of the poky rooms though. I would see this as 3 rather than 4 stars

First visit to Berlin

It was great to stay in a hotel which is a little different. The location is excellent with the railway station and many restaurants nearby. Much thought has been put into the decor. All members of staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly and the breakfasts (which were not included in the price we paid) were delicious. Unusually, no charge was made for fruit juice or water from the mini bar in the room.

City Break

Recently refurbished, the Sir FK Savigny was a great find. Clean and classy modern styling, well appointed rooms, attractive and comfortable public areas and an ideal location - away from the louder hustle and bustle of other 'downtown' areas, but close enough to access them easily and quickly. S-Bahn stop on the doorstep gets you into Zoo or Alex within minutes. With a great e-bookers weekend rate, we were delighted with our choice.

Sehr stylisher Retrolook, nette Details.

Leider grad eine Baustelle und frühmorgens erscheinen Handwerker vor dem Fenster...am Vorabend gehämmer bis nach 22:00.. Hätte man beim einchecken ansagen können, resp. müssen. Klar muss überall mal renoviert werden. Hätte ich ausschlafen müssen, wäre ich sehr verärgert gewesen.
