In a nice location they say it it been upgrade that a big lie !!! . Spending money on items that they don't need ,instead spending it on more staff, repairing the roads and better dinner food, there more they could do and make it good ....all to do with profit !!!!!

We stayed in this hotel a few years go and, whilst it was a little tired around the edge, the service, food and amenities were top class. Having had this experience we paid a bit more than what we wanted to to return but how times have changed. The hotel has been taking over by another company earlier this year and there has been no investment at all. The rooms and common areas are looking tired, the shower barely worked and was never hot, the swimming pool facilities were not clean and need renovations (the slide was shut) and the food was terrible. Staff were helpful when available but there didn’t seem to be enough. We waited an hour for our mains at dinner time and the wrong order eventually appeared (and the quality was appalling). Plates, food and patience were wearing thin at breakfast time and there was no table service. The coffee was disgusting. All in all a total rip off...such a shame as the hotel used to be excellent.

This is a very popular resort hotel but it badly needs some money spent on it now as it is looking very tired. Excessively high summer prices charged by new owners Britannia, though plenty to keep kids happy on site. So much to do out and about in this beautiful area of Scotland.

Check in was slow but in fairness; we arrived at a busy time. Was told we had been upgraded, however we were put in a family room with bunkbeds. I specifically booked a room with two double beds because the kids dont like bunks. Rooms were clean but a little outdated and the bed was too hard and uncomfortable. Facilities are good but as it was mid week and March; some things were closed or open with time constraints. Entertainment in evening good. Food lovely, drinks well overpriced. Would return again in the Summer months.

The rooms and bathrooms although spotless are suffering from a lack of investment. The cheap matresses are past their best and sag. The pool changing rooms were filthy and unhygienic with tired lockers many of which did not lock. The staff were however attentive and pleasant. Such a pity the investment is not there. For the money one is paying you get so much more in mainland Europe.

We were a group of 4, stayed there in 2 rooms for 2 nights. One of the rooms weren’t ready until 4pm, the reception staff were really rude. Immediately after check-in noticed stagnant water in the bathtub and the room had a really bad odour. I called reception and the shift manager was polite and offered an upgrade to a suite room. We stayed in the suite room for 2 nights. The room was very spacious, but the setup was outdated and shower head fell off during the 2nd use. Swimming pool and change room areas were filthy and poorly maintained. Restaurants were alright, food standards were satisfactory. Everything fell well short of other Hilton standards. If you want to stay near Coylumbridge, pls give Hilton a miss and you will be saved from terrible disappointment

Nice staff and grounds. Beds were very uncomfortable and food not great. We had to eat at 8.30 with kids as there were no other times available when we checked in. Would’ve been good to know you can book in advance.

Hotel was really nice and centrally located for all those activities, staff was excellent and we had really good time. Food (Breakfast and dinner) was good - nice and fresh.
