Unfortunately whilst trying to keep guests safe during the Covid 19 pandemic the hotel has put in measures which make the stay disappointing including a limited and average evening meal menu - why mostly burgers and pizza? Also only a continental breakfast left outside the room although you could get a bacon bap from reception amd take it all to eat in the restaurant - why not proper breakfast service? Also only paper or plastic cups in the rooms - why when proper glasses, cups etc used in the restaurant?. If we had known in advance about the food we would have stayed elsewhere.

The communal areas of this hotel are very grand. The grounds are beautiful. The food in the restaurant (afternoon tea and breakfast) were really good, however there were aspects that did not live up to expectation. Although the beds were comfortable, I felt the room was outdated and did not seem in keeping with the quality of the rest of the hotel. No air conditioning, outdated bathroom with no air vent, so it got hot, no fridge in the room, no bottled water provided and no room service offered to the room we were staying in. I must say I was disappointed overall and as a result wouldn't recommend the hotel to stay at.

Thank you for your feedback. We have just spent £6million on the mansion house bedrooms and public area refurbishment and we are hoping to have a refurbishment on our courtyard rooms in the future to address this matter. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you again soon.

Gorgeous building, pretty well adapted into a modern, comfortable hotel. I thought the bathrooms looked dated but actually the shower was great. I didn’t get to try out the spa, but would come back to try next time and to explore the grounds.

Beautiful Hotel

I stayed here many years ago when it was previously a Four Pillars Hotel and it was nice then. However, this time it was even better.. The hotel has been completely refurbished and Ebookers could do with updating their pictures. There is a acsweeping drive leading to Hotel and on arrival it really is quite imposing. There is a large staircase in the centre of the Reception area with vaulted ceilings as you look up. The room was lovely. It was spacious with a nice sized bathroom. Plenty of space with desk and armchair. The TV on the wall pulled out on a bracket fonuoi could watch comfortably all over the room. we Arrived in the dark at around 1930 so we couldn’t gusgevehstcsre View was until next morning. Upon opening the curtains it was very disappointing to find a view solely of the roof of the hotel. This didn’t affect our stay but when the hotel was fairly quiet in guests on the night we were there you’d think that someone at hotel wold want to be utilising the rooms with best views over the breathtaking grounds. The food in the msin restaurant which is like the library was divine. However, the lay out of the restaurant did not give room for an intimate romantic dinner the tables were hemmed in and if this was busy it would certainly be noisy but you’d be heading the adjacent tables conversations All in all excellent a few areas Devere should work on here but overall I’ve scored high on this hotel.

We're coming back for sure.

Pros: The style of the place, the setting and the comfort.
Cons: It's perfect as it is.
Location: Location is in the Cotswolds which in my humble opinion, is one of the finest location in the country.
A beautiful experience in beautiful surroundings with first class staff, everything about Tortworth Court is amazing.

Lovely birthday weekend

Pros: The beautiful building and attentive staff
Cons: Size of bed / mattress, as the mattress was smaller than the divan base . Not full sized double?
Location: Convenient location
Beautiful hotel and grounds for a lovely weekend away. The staff were very accommodating and when we wanted to watch a specific sporting programme on tv the duty manager went out of his way to help. He did his best to accommodate us. Restaurant staff were equally accommodating due to dietary requirements and when we had to wait for food (not too long) they could not be more apologetic. Great staff, great hotel. Thank you we hope to visit again

Glorious hotel

Stunning Victorian Gothic mansion with all the care and professionalism that makes for a wonderful stay. It is a gem and worth a stay and a return visit when you can. This place is exactly what you want - unique, full of character, attention to detail and comfort. Thank you.
