Could not use the dirty bathroom: mould in bathroom, mediocre customer service. Had to go eat elsewhere in Cirencester; . Tried to call Room service, the phone was not picked up.

Nice hotel marred by a few little but important things The main one was the room was very hot, this resulted in a poor nights sleep the air temperature outside was 6-12c so by no means a hot day. This looks to be a common problem as there was a floor standing fan in the room. The staff gave us a scripted response on leaving. The room tablet ( to look up info and order room service didn’t work , again reported but nothing done about it. Very much a shame with an otherwise nice stay.

Hotel wasn't near a beach but near water park resorts which were very expensive for entrance fees.

Thank you for your review. The hotel is not near a beach but our Concierge team are always on hand to provide information on the area and I am sorry if you were not aware. I hope you will consider visiting us again in the future. Kindest regards, Mark McKnight

The hotel bar and lounge was cold and the seating was not very comfortable. Also the bedroom was cold and with only one lounge chair between the two of us. Use of the pool was limited to certain periods of the day.

Very nice stay

Just an overnight stay due to work, but very nice anyway. Room was large and great condition, with a lake view. Good bar and brasserie

Wonderful location

Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: Breakfast.
Location: Fantastic.
I last used this hotel 9 years ago when it was relatively new and the very best in the local area but it has dropped from fantastic to good. The reception area and spa are wonderful but as you move into the hotel there are signs of wear and tear. My room was clean, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable but the tea and coffee was standard. Dinner in the 'pub restaurant' was good. However, breakfast in the restaurant was well below the standard I would expect from this class of hotel: the hot selection was good but the quality of the sausages was very low indeed. Moreover, the food was greasy and not fresh at 0830. The fresh fruit was good but the pears and mandarines were from tins and the pastries were tasteless. A good hotel in a spectacular location that is let down by small details.

Standard double room was what i booked and the mattress was uncomfortable you could feel the springs. Also in the evening you could hear all the other people who were staying walking up and down the corridor. So i complained and the hotel staff were able to move me. The deluxe room however was more better situated away from noisy corridors and the mattress was comfortable. The spa facilities were brilliant and i could not fault it. Lovely spa staff very helpful.

Lovely location

Basic room allegedly deluxe. Uncomfortable bed. Noisy slamming fire doors as bathroom doors heard repeatedly every 30-60 seconds. Asked for a quiet room. Placed next to a big family in an apartment with kids running up and down corridors. Ordered scones with tea. No tea arrived. Buffet breakfast barely like warm. Total waste of £300
