Check in staff could have been more advisable about where everything was placed inc spa and restaurants. Spa the facilities pool good as was steam and sauna. Experience shower needs work. Brasserie . One of the reasons we booked here . Night before we rung to book but told as there was a vj French’s party they had booked it all out so only option was the boathouse . Boathouse: front if house service efficient and food came out really fast but to the chefs detriment main course. Pie under cooked and shrunken microwAved peas for a meal which the charge was £17! Disappointing. Taken off the food bill after complaining . Waiting staff too young and naive just kept apologising and at one point decided to tell us that the pue. wouldn’t have been undercooked!! Staff training needed. Room : paid £137 for room but in day £74 same room. Room was not worth £137. Not usual de Vere standard. No mini bar, air conditioning control , there was a standing fan in the room!! Circulating same warm air. My husband is asthmatic so bad for health. No balcony . Wound not recommend it was apparent de Vere were only interested in the group corporate guests here on a weekend. Not individual guests. It’s supposed to be a five star hotel but the attention to customers was not equal. Spoilt our weekend. Will think twice if booking de Vere again . We’ve stayed at other de verse in the north . This one needs to up its game !!

Could not use the dirty bathroom: mould in bathroom, mediocre customer service. Had to go eat elsewhere in Cirencester; . Tried to call Room service, the phone was not picked up.

Nice hotel marred by a few little but important things The main one was the room was very hot, this resulted in a poor nights sleep the air temperature outside was 6-12c so by no means a hot day. This looks to be a common problem as there was a floor standing fan in the room. The staff gave us a scripted response on leaving. The room tablet ( to look up info and order room service didn’t work , again reported but nothing done about it. Very much a shame with an otherwise nice stay.

Hotel wasn't near a beach but near water park resorts which were very expensive for entrance fees.

The hotel bar and lounge was cold and the seating was not very comfortable. Also the bedroom was cold and with only one lounge chair between the two of us. Use of the pool was limited to certain periods of the day.

Relaxing weekend

This is a lovely hotel which is so clean!! V busy when my friend and I were there, as the end of half term week. I’ve been before so knew what to expect.
