A nice country inn.

Pros: The relaxed ambience,helpful staff and rural location.There was a good selection of food at the hotel and choice of real ales at the bar .
Cons: The room could have been checked to reduce the number of small moths that were there.
Location: The location was about 2 miles from Shaftesbury and convenient for the trips I wanted to make to Longleat and Stourhead.
It was a friendly relaxed hotel situated in glorious countryside. The staff were helpful but not intrusive and the food was of good quality. My only ,minor, downside was a lot of moths in the room ( even with shut windows closed).I enjoyed the convenience of staying in for food and drink in the evening rather than asearching for somewhere in local towns and villages.
