A warm & friendly welcome; a spotlessly clean and quite spacious room with lovely crisp white bedlinen (and a charming view across the fields). The bathroom was bright, airy, with full sized bath and plenty of clean white towels. We didn't have breakfast as we were up and out early each morning but we did have evening meals in the cosy restaurant - they were well cooked and represented excellent value for money.

Family visit

Pros: Location, food, room, and value for money
Cons: Earlier breakfast
Location: Brilliant location for a family visit to Wrexham
Arrived at the hotel in need of a iron and board supplied within minutes what a difference from the big hotel chains All staff were good but housekeeper was excellent

Perfectly placed

Pros: rooms away from the pub so not disturbed when people left
Cons: Insulation!
Location: Shropshire falconry
Ideal location for our onward journey. Good sized rooms with a comfortable bed. The noisy upstairs tenants, highlighted that insulation could have been better - but its not every night you get tap dancing at 2.15am! The staff were very welcoming and the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent for the price we paid.

Great 26th century pub. good food. Really friendly

Good food , beer and wine. Great pub in rural location not far from Shrewsbury. Separate accommodation with parking. Would definitely stay there again.
