Near freezing outside. The outdoor doors were opening directly into the Lounge which reduced the temperature in addition the door was left open by a number of people when entering creating a freezing draught. Noisy Bathroom door hinges and door lock were disturbing when operated during the night

It started with check-in where it said to ring a number for assistance. Both phones at reception didn’t work. I had to play ringing music on my mobile to get attention after waiting for a while with little apology from the receptionist. The property is dated, the amenities basic and the property is on a busy roundabout. It was advertised as a retreat with treatments etc but the pool was like picaddily circus and whilst the treatments were nice it was far from luxury. This hotel is a travelodge with a pool. Nothing wrong with travel lodges but if you expect more (like I did after how it was advertised on wowcher) you will be thoroughly disappointed

Handy hotel for Oxford & Blenheim

Around 20m drive to each. Witney is a peasant town and is about 15m walk from hotel. Hotel rooms are reasonably comfortable for a hotel aimed at business travellers. The gym and pool are good. The restaurant serves also good for breakfast and evening meals if you book with a 3 course dinner.

Pros: Rooms
Cons: Larger menu
Location: I and others in our group found the sign on the road very hard to notice.
The day before arriving at the hotel,I tried to ring the reception, when nobody answered after 3 hrs , I had to call the sports center, who then went around to the reception.
