EXCELLENT

Pros: Very high standards in every thing
Cons: Just the prices of the drinks
Location: Right in the town, the castle is just up the road, welsh highland railway is a little further away. There are plenty o f shops near by
Just one complaint, the drinks are VERY expensive. The atmosphere is excellent and we would have hung around more if there was any value in the drinks. Food is excellent, not cheap but great value for money, top notch grub and lots of it. Very friendly staff, even the younger members of staff are brilliant, which is rare now a days!. Every thing is clean and well looked after. We had an excellent time here. It is very close to the castle and welsh highland railway and right in the middle of things for having a wander around the town but not noisy at all (except for the expected sea gulls). I would recommend this hotel to any one.

Close To Everything - Very Pleasant & Different

Pros: The history, the staff, the atmosphere and the location.
Cons: Access to the parking area. No intercom to the reception area and reception did not answer the phone when I called.
Location: That's for next time. I was on a business trip. I will definitely be returning with the family.
I was there on business and was therefore not able to savor all the hotel and the area has to offer. The hotel provides you with a very different experience. This hotel has a lot of history. Rooms are clean and the room I stayed in had a good bathroom with an excellent shower. The food is of a very high standard and a lot of care is taken on the presentation. The bar is well stocked and oozes centuries of character. The hotel is ideally situated for those wanting to explore the city and the national park. I will definitely go back. Next time it will be with the family.

Hotel excellent location near the castle

We had an overall good experience the only issue the bed room we had was the noise levels at night. We did provide this feedback on the comments form we left at the hotel.

olde inn

Pros: The food was great and we couldn't fault it, shame we only stayed overnight, a few more days would have been better.
Location: Beautiful castle, spent ages looking around.
lovely place to stay, we had a lovely weekend. The room was just right for the overnight stay, would have booked a larger room if we had stayed longer.
