Good things: location, exterior, welcoming reception (both reception area and staff), room clean and contemporary. Not so good: *Paying for parking through a separate company. *No toiletries as expected, specifically no soap. I made a point of asking at reception could we get soap and was assured that it would be sorted. On our return I found still no toiletries. I always bring my own shampoo etc but was disappointed. I ended up buying my own soap as I didn't think I should need to ask a second time. *Bed was lumpy, did hubby's back in the next day. Mattress would benefit from being checked. *Only three sachets of coffee and cups turned upwards rather than downwards, not good practice. *Breakfast the next day saw a decent selection but was lukewarm, almost cold. My husband told me the orange juice was squash and I thought he was joking but no, it definitely was. We have stayed at both higher end and budget hotels over the years and never, never encountered this. It gives me no pleasure to write negatively.We have stayed in several hotels in Stirling and had high hopes for Hotel Colessio given how attractive the building appears. Furthermore we know that the hospitality sector has had a tough time post Covid however some of our experience seemed down to either poor housekeeping or penny pinching. If it's the latter then it's a false economy as it means folks like us will simply say once was enough and not return. Sorry.

Lovely public areas. Very small room but otherwise quite nice. Very near Stirling Castle.

Surprise birthday for my wife

Pros: Everything
Cons: No need
Location: Lots to do in Stirling cafes bars lots of individual little shops
Booked hotel on recommendation . Surprise for my wife's birthday beautiful place and friendly and helpful staff . Room was excellent. Grill room very tastefully decorated excellent food and staff. My wife loved it all . Will definitely return

Rauhallinen hotelli kävelymatkan päässä keskustassa. Mäkinen maasto mutta jos kunto kestää niin hyvä paikka. Erittäin ystävällinen palvelu ja pulmatilanteeni hoidettiin nopeasti.

To expensive for what we got. Terribly loud wedding at the entrance, when we wanted to eat. We waited for hours for our food and have gotten the wrong things twice.
