Lack of hot water for a shower and reception staff member failed to compensate us for this inconvenience, and denied there was an issue! Floor noise was an issue from the floor above due to the timber framed building with no sound insulation in within the floors. Bathroom need to be better maintained with a higher standard of workmanship.

Beautiful hotel. Warm welcome on arrival. Overnight stay before early morning flight at Prestwick Airport. Conveniently positioned. Lovely quiet garden room. Huge comfy bed. Appreciared the litle complimentary shortbread and hot chocolate . Easy check out in morning with the offer of complimentary coffee and tablet to go. Good parking facilities for overnight. We will definitely stay again.

Everything positive, staff went above and beyond, a credit to the hotel. My only criticism no drawers in the room, no shortage of hanging space, lovely room, clean, spacious, nice towels, something I always appreciate is clean flannels, I hate carrying wet flannels in my toilet bag when traveling around

Breakfast the previous week was not up to the standard I’d previously enjoyed at the hotel , also a child opposite us at breakfast had no shoes on & sat & picked her feet all through breakfast to my wife’s disgust , we did however mention this to the breakfast person , but never got any communication back ☹️

Hotel was great

Pros: A lovely building and beautiful inside.
Cons: I had not realised we would be staying in an annex as on the website it show`s the main building. The dining staff require training.
Location: Great location and there was more to do than we had time for
The one thing that let this hotel down was the eating at breakfast The second day we were unable to be served in the main eating area. when the dish that my wife ordered came it was not complete as listed on the menu and it was not hot enough. The item I ordered was listed as plural and I only received one and it was very small. The staff were very busy and unable to give the service I would expect in a hotel of this standard. I can only hope that this will be rectified as everything else was very nice. Including the location.
