Barri Gotic Hotel

A short break on my own. Friendly reception staff. Very clean room. Sadly no window and next to lift but so tired after busy day it didn't matter! Safe environment for solo travellers.

Well positioned

We had a lovely experience at the hotel. We were welcomed in the middle of the night with smiles. The manager allowed us to keep our bicycles in the foyer. The walls are a bit thin so we heard the neighbors conversations. The room did not have a window to the outside so if you are claustrophobic you could battle.

Excellent base, perfect location

Very friendly staff, excellent location, clean. Excellent base camp for exploring Barcelona on foot, and it's close to Pl. Catalynia as well so also public transport is easy to reach. Nice breakfast spots close by in the Gothic Quarters and by the Ramblas, also and especially the La Boqueria market. My single room was the cheapest one and it didn't have a window facing outside; also the shower was a bit tricky but worked when I realised how it works. Would recommend the hotel for active people, not for those who take holidays to stay at the hotel.

One night two days in Barcelona

The Hotel is tucked away down a side street a short walk from La Ramblas on one side of Barri Gotic. Within minutes you can easily walk to all the local sights. I visited the Cathedral, La Ramblas, the marina area and lots of other places all on foot. The only time I didn't walk was when a ventured a bit further on the bus. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful, recommending places to eat and even making a local phone call for me when I asked. The room was very basic but quiet and comfortable. There was no TV but I didn't come to Barcelona to watch TV so this was not a negative in my opinion. Considering the price and location of the hotel it's great value for money and I would stay here again if I need a base for a couple of nights. Other pluses were the free Wi-Fi and a safe in my room.

Hôtel très bien situé au centre du quartier gothic

La petite chambre était confortable mais l'odeur des canalisations fut très désagréable. Mais sinon l'hôtel et son personnel est très agréable
