My second home, the ladies at reception (Pam & Karen) recognise me and nothing is too much hassle even though it was obvious they were busy and under pressure, they handled it as ever, superbly. Not seen her yet but glad to hear Christina is back, huge asset to the hotel. Back again soon, many thanks for the upgrade, again shows the a;ways go the extra mile even when they don't have too.

As always, nothing negative to say about the Kingsmills from any angle. For us, it is the best hotel in Scotland by a distance. We just feel when you walk in the door there is a chilled friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel, something money just cannot buy. Back a few times in October, look forward to it already!

Still, without any doubt, the best hotel in Scotland, if not the UK! There always seems to be the most chilled out feeling when you go in the door, it's hard to explain, like the skill that just cannot be taught. We just don't even consider anywhere else when in Inverness, hands up "we tried the 5* hotel at new year" to see what the fuss was about, never again, the Kingsmills is so far ahead of everywhere else, period!

Family weekend away

We had a very spacious family room & our 12 year old son had his own area which was great. The hotel is beautiful & there's a very friendly & relaxing atmosphere. Staff are all attentive & extremely pleasant. We'll definitely be back.

Miles ahead, bar none!

Pros: Hard to fault in all honesty, for some reason it just seems so relaxing compared to any hotel in the UK i have stayed in.
Cons: If anything, maybe the slope in the pool makes exercise swimming a little difficult but totally understand families etc make up far bigger % of guests
Location: Perfect
How this is not 5* is beyond me, stayed at the only 5* in Inverness recently to see why they charge like they do, expecting something special (sorry Kingsmills). However, not something i would consider again, they are not in same league as you guys, no doubt will be back soon.
