on check in was informed that i could not consume our om ( nothing in the terms and conditions)bottle of wine in our room i had upgraded to garden room and got a view of train station. bashes and holes in bathroom door and fixtures falling of wall reception werent interested when i complained, Breakfast served at 10.15 and was inedible on both days appears we got what was left over . This hotel is in need of an upgrade and a course in customer service, chef should be making breakfast to order not serving dried up black pudding and beans next to burnt sausage, hash brown and cold toast, continental was served with warm rubber like tasteless cheese

Rooms were ok. Breakfast was ok. Position was excellent. Parking is very limited. Easy walking to bars and restaurants. It's a very old hotel and maintenance could be improved.

Enchanted forest base

Very clean providing the basic requirements for an overnight stay. Staff were very polite and friendly, a very warm welcome was extended. Breakfast was sufficient, the usual buffet. Some unobtrusive refurbishment work on going, hopefully this will extend to the reception lounge which looked very tired and tacky with an scruffy coffee "bar" and amounted to an area to wait if you are on a bus trip.

Nice hotel with central location

Pros: Spacious comfortable room, excellent breakfast with wide variety to choose from. Choice of bars with either live music or quiet area.
Cons: Electric point in bedroom near a mirror for use with hair dryer.
Location: Ideal central location in main street, easy walking distance from theatre or fish ladder and immediately adjacent to a wide range of shops.
Excellent greeting on arrival with offer of welcoming drink.

SADLY

Fantastic hotel,,downside was I booked a double room online but was only offered a twin room on arrival,,,the hotel car park is totally inadequate for the amount of rooms so they should list that parking is limited,,, However the hotel ,,rooms ,,staff and food was excellent.

Very pleasant stay!

Pros: Nice staff, lovely breakfast, good sized room.
Cons: Car parking, as otherwise you may have to pay for parking elsewhere which could add up for an overnight stay.
Location: Loved the enchanted forest show. Pitlochry is lovely with many nice walks. Beautiful scenic area.
Stayed here as we were going to the Enchanted Forest light show. Hotel car park is fairly small for the size of the hotel. Something to be aware of. We couldn't get parked and had to go a bit further along the road to a pay and display car park. After the show we checked hotel car park again (10pm) and there were a coupe of spaces so get the feeling that some people are parking there who are not guests. Hotel receptionist was very friendly, room was of a good size and clean. Whisky or sherry on arrival was a nice touch. Lovely buffet breakfast with a good choice. The hotel has an old world charm and I would absolutely stay here again.

Pros: Staff very helpful and friendly. Food in the evening was very good as was the great choice of breakfast.
Cons: My single room was a bit "tired" and could do with a facelift. (No. 306).
Location: In centre of town, lots of shops, restaurants and bars. The Dam and fish ladder is worth a visit.
Chose this hotel for ease of access to town and the transport to the Enchanted Forest.
