Highlight of Gara Suites twas checking in at H10 Las Palmeras after 5 nights. Having stayed at various hotels numerous occasions each year for the last 25 years i can assure all that this is in no way a 4* hotel. We paid extra for a duplex room which was the only impressive point of our stay. We had cleaners each day, but only to change towels and make the beds. No actual cleaning was carried out. The only buffet restaurant was inadequate in its size to cater for the whole hotel, but also the food was typically basic buffet, but tasteless. each lunch was leftovers from dinner the night before. Breakfast was the really the only adequate meal, the drinks were also only basic unless you paid extra. At H10 hotel all inclusive meant all inclusive. Staff at the Gara barely knew a word of english which made even a basic conversation difficult, this added to the complete lack of atmosphere. We chose to eat out whenever we could, all guests we spoke to had all complained, and had even been told off for talking at the bar area after 11pm. Reading reviews that the pool bar had better food we also tried there, only to find that the all inclusive menu was only a few basic items, the full menu again was extra charge. This menu was expensive so again we chose to eat out. I suspect the pool bar a separate entity as this is the only hotel i have ever stayed in that made people who were all inclusive feel segregated. "Paying" guests were served first and had better quality meals 7 drinks.
