Unfortunately this hotel is definitely not a 4 star property. Filthy carpets and stains along corridors was just the start. Upon checkin the hotel has been well refurbished at the bottom but the rooms need a big revamp. Rooms were tired looking and the first one we were put in had a awful sewage smell. To top things off the main pool was under reconstruction so more like a noisy building site outside and not a relaxing place to soak up the sun (this was not stated when booking through ebookers so be careful) . At the best this is a 3 star property which needs to be thoroughly cleaned and redecorated to match the bottom half. The food was poor and quality just lacked leaving us disappointed after the first night. Things were that bad that we decided to check out after the first night and move to a much better hotel 8 minute walk away (Sping Vulcano was amazing) . Please don’t be fooled by the misleading pictures as you will be disappointed.

The information about the renovation in pools was notified on 20th January and the works started on 26th January. Your reservation was made through the channel Expedia on 11th February 2022. It is very important for us that guests have the information about what services you book and conditions before arrival. Having stayed at the gara suites previously for a few days we were ready to catch a flight home. However this hotel totally changed our opinion of tenerife. From the moment of arrival, where a glass of bubbly awaited whilst we checked in, the whole whole stay was made perfect by the excellent cuisine, pleasant staff and great facilities. New Years Eve was fantastic, the effort the hotel put in for the gala was second to none. We will be returning next year.

hotel was modern, clean and staff were excellent room was noisy at night as the bars under the hotel were open until at least 2am
