Close to the train station, close to shops and restaurants
Booking in was very slow, not all facilities were explained which was a bit off putting. The bed is the firmest I have ever slept in. When checking out we were not asked how our stay was otherwise I would have mentioned the bed.
White basic but functional, could do with better clothes hanging facilities! Room quite small but okay for the price and good location in the centre of Leeds near all the bars restaurants and shops.
The room was as clean and comfortable and just great for an overnight stay
The location was excellent as close to the station , the room was comfortable and quiet, reception kept my bag as I had arrived way before 3pm check in overall a good choice
First room smelt of smoke but staff moved us in to another room which wasn’t any trouble. Good breakfast selection. Short walk into town.
Millennium Square is a large city square in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was Leeds' flagship project to mark the year 2000, hence its name. It was officially opened by Nelson Mandela in May 2001 and is widely renowned as a multi-functional live event venue with a standing capacity of 8,000 persons in its concert configuration. The square is currently home to the Leeds Big Screen and plays host to some of the our key events such as the popular annual Christkindelmarkt German Christmas Market and the Ice Cube outdoor temporary ice rink plus major football tournament screenings. It is also the focal point for many markets, fairs, ceremonies, and other civic occasions throughout the year. Both rock and operatic concerts frequently draw huge crowds to the square. Additionally, it boasts a giant media screen to relay coverage of musical and theatrical events, including opera and ballet, as well as sporting events such as Wimbledon and football tournaments.
The Millennium Square is a great place to go if you want to just relax and take in all the beautiful scenery of the Mandella Gardens and watch the day as it unfolds before you. Visitors and locals alike adore the ice skating rink that appears during the coldest months of the year and the food and drink is beyond compare at the German market during the Christmas season. Even when there are no activities taking place, this location is an ideal spot to visit if you want to see some beautiful and varied architectural designs such as the golden owls on the Civic Hall to ornate detailings of the Leeds Museum.
