The location of this property is excellent in Canterbury, in the centre of town, but not part of the hustle and bustle. The staff were excellent, friendly and nothing too much trouble. Rooms were lovely and breakfast was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!!

Wish I could go again next week

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Even though they were understaffed when we arrived the staff were all super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious, the atmosphere smart but comfy and welcoming. The shower is fabulous. We loved it and wished we could stay longer.

Friendly hotel great location

On arrival the staff were very welcoming, the room was clean and appealing. Great location by the great river Stour and close to the city centre

Outstanding

Anybody looking for a comfortable hotel with traditional service management then this is the place to stay. Shown to your room firstly was not experience for my years by leading brands, so this set the tone already for a personal service. Stay here if you want to experience how hotels should be run.

Great location and very welcoming

Stayed for 1 night on a Saturday night. Arrived early in the morning however was aloud to check straight in as room was available. Stayed in the "Millers" room which was a nice size with king size bed whixh was very comfy. room overlooking the corner of the pub. Tight corridor to the room though if you were a large frame. Saw other rooms as doors were open where had been cleaned and these were smaller but would have been fine. Had a drink in the evening before heading out and was quite a busy bar. Shame we couldn't get near the fire but expected at that time of evening. We had been told breakfast was really good however was adequate but no more. Quite slow service and some of breakfast was a bit cold. Only other point i would make is that for parking on the website for the pub it says it is free however the voucher they give is £6. Still very reasonable for 24hrs but to save any misleading information they should update their webpage. On the whole very positive though and would definitely stay again.

A gem in Canterbury

Pros: The atmosphere, location, excellent staff and good rooms all at a reasonable price we have already booked to stay again.
Cons: This is a pub with rooms and has in our opinion is ideal if you were to be really critical there were areas in need of seasonal brighten up.
Location: The location is perfect a short walk to the Cathedral and the centre of town but in a tranquil setting close to car parking and by the river.
We are frequent visitors to the area as we visit family in the area staying at many and varied hotels etc. We will not search again as the Millers Arms is ideal for our needs it is centrally located, clean and well appointed rooms, excellent service and good breakfast.

Very Welcoming

Location: Great location with river walks right outside the door and less than a minute away from the city center, Cathedral and shops.
Great views from the room of the Cathedral and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also a quiet pub noise issue at night was never an issue.

Lovely!

Easy check in. Friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were good. Nice, quiet and convenient location to explore Canterbury.
