Room too hot, rubbish under bed from previous guests, noise in the night, tried to ring reception several times but got no answer
Poor room. Very noisey due to function being held and although booked and pre paid for the room and emailed to advise late check in they let our room go and was told lucky one toom left which was a disabled room that smelt of musty smoke .
Close to a nice park and the town centre which has a number of good shops and restaurants. The hotel room (an executive twin) was recently refurbished and clean.
My wife and I stayed for one night due to an early morning visit to Crufts at the NEC. Check in was fine, staff friendly and efficient. We had room 121 which is opposite the reception separated by a wall and on the ground floor facing the car park. Not very private, there was a car directly outside ...
It was convenient to get there and welcoming reception. Very reasonable cost to stay and excellent conditions. The evening meal was beautiful and homecooked. We went to Solihull to a concert and it was very convenient for that too. The only downside was the breakfast (buffet) style (little overcooked ...
The hotel was lovely and accommodating, their Laura Ashley tearoom looked exceptional but didn't have time to sit down or enjoy try out their SPA area. I would not recommend the twin rooms instead I would change to standard double or upgrade. I would stay again, hotel lovely.

The staff obvs work hard, the rooms @ communal areas are clean & tidy. The pool/jacuzzi/sauna/steam are 'tired' & there's black mould in the corners of the pool/jacuzzi/shower surrounds. I felt a little 'unclean' in those areas. If it wasn't for that the hotel would be a solid 4.
This is a lovely hotel - the staff are so friendly the rooms are really big and spacious decor is slightly old fashioned for this day and age but netherless still very nice! Didnt have chance to try the marco pierre reatauraunt Within the hotelbut we throughly enjoyed our stay!
