Hotel has been nicely refurbished. Large modern communal areas. Quick walk to Brindley place for food options, 15 minute walk from new street station.

Difficult to get to from main road. Expensive parking, it should be included in the cost. Surprised to discover there was no available USB ports in the room to charge a phone, I had forgotten my phone charger, when asked at reception the response was unhelpful also they looked surprised as if they had no clue, even saying why would we have USB ports? I then asked if there was a phone charger I could borrow, told to go to a Sainsbury. When your not used to an area and your attending a Conference going out to find a charger is tricky. It was more the poor attitude and lack of interest which surprised me most. Food poor standard, cleanliness of eating areas poor, and how the self serve of food was not good particularly during times of Covid, items being left for everyone to pick up with hands, serving tongs being handled by everyone and mixed with different food types. Room was not clean. Most likely not stay next time when attending a training or conference.

There was no room service provided for cleaning it everyday- even no replacement of mugs etc. The room headboard were dusty. The reception staff wasn’t very helpful - a bit rude. We asked for a plaster as first aid necessity and we’re told we ran out of it last night. The room was spacious so that was a good thing but the bathroom tub had small height and too outdated. The location of hotel was good. I just hoped with 3 night stay we could have got a better service. Too put off by the reception staff.
