Great location for a countryside walk. Spa facilities becoming worn and dated with quite s few things out of order. Floor in the women’s changing rooms could have been cleaner - lots of hairs. Booked a suite which was ok but lacked a fridge in the room, the curtains were broken so didn’t fully close, dated and worn. Worst nights sleep i’ve ever had due to banging and clanking from the heating which went on until 02.45!!! Phoned reception at 02:45 only to get voicemail service. Complained at reception in the morning but the manner with which it was handled made the overall experience worse. Breakfast was disappointing- croissants dried out and stale. Lots they could do to improve.

Loved the spar and had a lovely view over the gardens. Not very keen on cooked breakfast.

Good facilities, main house is very historic however the newer extension is tired, the walls are paper thin, you can hear neighbouring rooms using the bathroom. Double room were two single beds with single sheets pushed together. Breakfast was adequate. Overall I would have said that if you are staying in the newer extension it’s not worth the 117 price tag and that you will receive a room similar to a premier inn.

I am sorry that you did not have a good experience with us, we do charge in line with the local market and this is based on demand, I do regret we did not reach expectations.
