This hotel is in a great location and we love Barton and go there often so had wanted to love this hotel, unfortunately we didn’t, though didn’t hate it either. It is in a beautiful location but does not make the most of this, everything is very bland and it feels tired. The food in the restaurant is uninspiring with average quality products and we only ate there once choosing to eat out the following night.

Nice welcoming lady at the reception. When we checked in on the night of 22nd Jan (6 pm) it was snowing, and freezing cold. Unfortunately, the boiler had a problem and as such the rooms were freezing cold. Whilst we were having dinner they managed to fix the problem, and the heating was back on. In the morning, at the time of checking out, the same lady informed us that they did not charge us any money for the dinner in order to compensate for the heating problem. Very nice gestures from them - shere professionalism. They know how to retain the customers; thumps up.
