We didn't like the fact that we had to ask staff to come in to our room to empty the bin, to get toilet roll and also fresh towels. If the hotel policy is for the staff to only clean the rooms after the guests have checked out then, you need to change that policy.

The hotel is close to town centre and close to railway station.

Fine for the price. Clean and comfy. What some would call shabby others would call character.

Great location. Great Value. Hotel needing a bit of TLC.

Badly in need of complete refurbishment - carpets, furniture, bathrooms etc. The room was incredibly stuffy and overlooked piles of kitchen rubbish, liberally spread all over the floor. Lack of advance information regarding car park arrangements resulted in confusion.

Couldn’t have found a better location for this price! The hotel was a little hidden and hard to find, but the location is 9/10...close to the city center with plenty of restaurants and bars on and across the street. It’s not the most up-to-date hotel but it was quaint and the sleeping quarters were sufficient for our needs. The city of Carlisle is an absolute gem.

Hotel difficult to spot. Nothing like photo. Bar not totally manned at night. Extremely tired decor - with investment could be really good. Overall disappointing. cleanliness not great - hair in bed, sticky surfaces including bar tables and bathroom floors. Came out thinking at least Travelodges have basics!!!
