Great location. Why can't reviews be shorter than fifty characters?

Beautiful setting for a family wedding

Pros: The location, room size, food and comfort.
Cons: Bar prices were high for the area.
Location: Didn’t explore the area on the day but views were stunning and we know Fowey as a picturesque Cornish town
We attended a family wedding which took place in the hotel followed by the reception. A fantastic location with stunning views. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all pleasant and smiley. Plenty of old world charm. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would recommend this hotel even if bar prices were a high for Cornwall. More what you would expect to pay in London.

Pros: Beautiful view from our bedroom, which had its own terrace. Lovely gardens and Helpful reception,
Cons: decore a bit more colourful.
Location: excellent, beautiful views and right on the esplanade near the beach and cliff walks.
The staff were friendly towards our dog, Bertie and even gave him his own sausage for breakfast.

Traditional hotel with beautiful views.....

Pros: Receptionist was very friendly and helpful on check in. The views amazing.
Cons: Bedrooms need updating.
Location: Fantastic location, great restaurants nearby.
Car parking is limited with very few spaces, the hotel did notify us prior to arriving that we couldn't park there. When we did arrive, it was torrential rain, so after the receptionist gave me help in where to find parking (which was in a residential road up behind the hotel) my husband was drenched when he finally got back to hotel! Receptionist was friendly and helpful with where to eat, we didn't want to stay in the hotel, so she recommended Sam's and Haverner's. We got to Haverner's first and as it was still raining we ate there. Fantastic meal, very friendly staff, would definitely recommend it. Our room was fine, slightly dated but the bathroom was modern. We had paid for views of the river which we got, thought the room was expensive for what it was, £175. In the welcome pack in the room it mentioned that breakfast was busy between 8.30am - 9.30am so best to avoid, therefore we went down at 9.40 and the buffet was sparse to say the least. It wasn't replenished. If you offer breakfast until 10am you should make sure everything is available. I ordered porridge which should have been creamy. It was made with water or skimmed milk and not offered with honey or sugar. In general a good hotel but slightly frayed around the edges.

Hübsches Hotel mit toller Aussicht

Top Lage, freundliches Personal, schöne Zimmer. Vom Design leicht altmodisch aber mit Charme. Parkplätze beschränkt.
