Great location and good dog friendly Hotel , the down points where the toilet was wobbly when you sat on it and the shower curtain was like a grasping animal trying to wrap itself around you when you had a shower but the shower was great apart from that shower curtain , would definitely stay again

Good location on A1, functional

Cheap and cheerful hotel in a decent location just off the A1. Slightly dated and a smell of smoke in the hotel. Functional if you want somewhere to get your head down

Very convenient to family members

The staff were excellent and made us very welcome. The food was good but drinks expensive. Rooms were very clean with comfortable beds. Overall we greatly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back.

Hotel located in pleasant location

Staff was helpful upon arrival, decided to have an evening at the hotel, wasn't rushed on choosing our menu, even asked for an extra bread and there was no extra charge.

Pit stop

Pros: Excellent staff
Cons: Unfinished decoration around a repair in the bedroom, inadequate lighting in room.
Location: Not so far from Beamish Museum, good outing.
Room was quieter than I expected and receptionist made up for impersonal nature of the hotel design, chef was excellent at dealing with a food intolerance I have also. Staff deserve to be in a more ambitious environment than the one Campanile have settled for.

You get what you pay for

Room was ok for the price but it needed a new bed and a deep clean. The bathroom had an awful smell of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room which I assume was coming through the vent possibly from the next room.
