This used to be a Travelodge and although it has been refurbished it is still rather bare and basic. The main differences are the quality toiletries and hot chocolate sachets and biscuits provided along with the usual hot drinks in the room, a hairdryer and iron and ironing board. The staffing is insufficient at both reception and breakfast. Breakfast is served until 11am, but when we went along at 9:30 the place was virtually deserted and some of the hot food was past its best. The chef did offer to cook some fresh bacon and fried eggs though. When we were ready for our cooked breakfast we had to wait to be served as we were not allowed to serve ourselves from the hot buffet. There were plenty of single serving jars of jam but they were all strawberry.

Thanks for your comments. Due to the regulations getting revved up again nothing is self serve on the carvery or the breakfast. So sorry you feel this had an impact on your visit.
