Very tired depressing hotel. Rooms need improvement. Very noisy as a party on until midnight. Went to breakfast and the jugs of milk for cereal were off! Unfortunately I had already had a mouthful with my cereal by that point!! Shocking really if a hotel cant get basics right like this.

Property very convenient for bristol,
Generally hotel was tired and would benefit from a refurbishment.

Room was freezing all night (not sure if the heating worked) and the tv system was awful (no guide to what was on) either that or half of the buttons on the remote did not work. On the plus side, The staff were nice and the room was clean and the hotel has good car parking facility.

Slightly out of town but ideal as you dont have the traffic chaos caused by roadworks. Used taxi to get to and from town centre.
Hotlel is rather shsbby but room was clean and bed comfy.
Staff friendly.
Rather embarassing mix up at breakfast as they did not have our room number as booked for this even though I had paid when checking in!!!!! Was told tbey would sort it for us and to take a seat and have breakfast.
Rather annoyed that on checking out they tried to charge me AGAIN for breakfast!!!!!!! I informed the girl behind reception that I paid her the full amount for the room plus breakfast in cash when she checked us in the afternoon before, and that is why when she was checking our final bill she could see there was an extra £10 paid!! took her a while to understand !!!!!! This was rather off putting and my husband was getting rather annoyed.
While at reception I was not the only one complaining that their bills were wrong!!!!
Do think this hotel needs to train their reception staff better as they are the front of house and if they cant get things right doesnt bode well for the rest.

Old rooms require refurbishment
The room had bad smell due to the old carpet on the floor. The bed was soft at least for me and the lift was screaming every time when used. The building is old and has certain old style charms, e.g very beautiful breakfast room with nice furniture. The stuff was extremely nice and friendly. We had a dinner at the hotel bar/restaurant, what was positive surprise.
