Staff were excellent, location is pretty good and the bathroom and toiletries were good quality. There was an event on and the sound-proofing wasn't that great. But the main reason for the average rating was the mattress, which my partner in particular found very uncomfortable. Disappointing for what was otherwise a nice hotel.

Beautiful room and within walking distance to the shops and the hippodrome. Food in restaurant was lovely and staff were accommodating. Will definitely stay there again. I think the Downside was the distance from both the coach station (10 minute walk) and Bristol Temple Meads train station.
