satisfied with price and location rooms serviced daily- excellent on most days although on my last day of stay they didnt leave soap/plastic cups/tissues in bathroom. the only gripe i have is about the wifi- only 2 x 20min sessions allowed free in bedroom then you have to spend rest of the time down in the lobby for the free access wifi. which is really annoying

vast improvement in last few months, new carpeting in lobby and upstairs bedroom corridors. a lot of maintenance going on like new paintwork and all the bulbs working in the chandeliers etc. one thing though please when the windows have been painted for god sake dont shut them i was in a fantastically good room but couldnt get any fresh air as windows stick painted shut- these will be horrendous in summer if they arent opened,by the time my 2 days were up the condensation on the internal window ledges was 2cms deep in water run-off. i twice asked can someone try to get the window open when i was out in the day to no avail. Very great praises to the night porter/overnight housekeeper that when i left a note outside the door overnight for toiletries the cleaner had missed in the day left ample soap, tea, coffee, uht milk pots and loo paper by morning. superb attention to detail-

Absolutely stunned to stay in sure a heritage building at rock bottom prices. I was in room M4 a huge room tucked into the back or the hotel. No views but i did not care about that. The back staircase down to it smelled of decades of smokers, but the room didn't. i suppose at some point fresh carpets and paint will get rid of that old era which is actually quite nostalgic. Great central position. Class Place. Loved it and would definitely stay there in future in preference to a premiere inn Box. I had been warned about loud stag parties but maybe as it was midweek i was met only with peaceful silence. Nice having the liverpool barcelona match on the big screen, better luck on the return fixture.

The building is a gem it is being run by rudev indiffrent staff who tteated us with contempt. Could not access room and had to come back to reception to get help again same problem at 1am night porter was rude and confrontational with no empaty care or concern.

Sadly neglected & needs some serious money investing to restore it back to it's former period character. Also requested a room NOT overlooking the kitchens or bins but sadly both rooms we booked had the best view possible....of yes the bins & kitchen extractors, as a return guest absolutely no customer loyalty. However pleasant staff who work hard in conditions made difficult by some of the low life guests now staying there. Won't go back unless this changes

i enjoyed the fact i could drop off a case and check in later as room not ready at the early time i arrived. staff pleasant. room very hot and constant hot water in sink/shower. the only problem recently is windows in many rooms have been painted but closed and you cannot get them open- in summer its going to be a nightmare- i have stayed 3 x in recent weeks and its a struggle to get windows open by the way they have been painted shut.

close to station/ quick check in can leave bags. the only issue is with room servicing/housekeeping great its hoovered daily and bed made BUT no toilet roll/tissue/soap left- dispenser soap not refilled - no tea coffee sachets the basics. A note was even left outside the bedroom door overnight, it vanished but no items were left overnight. i mean that is pretty basic and easily addressable.
