I was trying to work out why this new hotel was only having 4/5 on reviews. I now know why. *Communication* Really good and could check in via the Celtic App once I figured how to use it! Can also get a digital key. **First impressions** Impressive entrance, however the concierge was rude and dismissive. (He apologised and must be having one of those days), however the theme continued. This is where the issue lies. Some staff are lovely, some are very moody and pretentious. As an example the porter will see one minute and chirpy; then totally dismissive, quite rude and complain that there are too many bags. A hostel I would accept, however not the luxury the hotel is trying to offer. **Room** Really clean, comfortable bed and quite large. We stayed in a Superior Queen. Quiet and homely. **Breakfast** Really nice, tasty and quality products. The “galley” set up is chaotic when busy and needs a re-think. **Bar** Comfortable, staff there attentive. Overall we will stay again if the price is right. and hope management sort front of house. We paid £180 inc breakfast and would not pay more. Hotel needs to decide what they want to provide service wise. If they want to provide premium service that needs to be consistent, not ad-hoc and I hate to say it the service appears to be on looks.
