Nice, bright hotel. Stayed for 2 nights. Room was not serviced. When brought this to attention at reception, was still not resolved.

Central and Great Staff

Pros: Cleanliness of all public areas and rooms. Bar is very good and the staff are very helpful. Good complimentary breakfast.
Cons: A concierge desk in operation during check-in times as guests with queries or requests had to queue with guests checking in.
Large queue for checking in (15 mins); after that everything was great - parking is £12 per stay and easy. Location is close to centre and is an easy walk or taxi. Check out was speedy.

Birthday weekend ruined. Avoid!

Stayed for 3 nights, and 2 nights was evacuated in the middle of the night/early hours of the morning in the freezing cold due to the fire alarm. The whole evacuation procedure was shocking, not enough staff on with no fire marshalls informing or directing guests to the fire assembly point, or even letting them know what was going on. After the first fire alarm I had complained and was told the feed back would be taken on board, which didnt happen as the 2nd fire alarm was even worse! Not only this, but we had 3 room changes during my stay, different room EACH night! 1st was due to having a connecting door in our room which was not stated to us booking or checking in, which was noisier to stay in. That followed by the new room having no hot water, and being unable to shower that morning before heading out for the day. Upon complaining, maintenance came up and said this problem had happened the weekend before and offered us another room change. Finding this laughable now and fed up of packing all our belongings up again, they gave a new room for free use of the bathroom, except it was on a complete different floor. Surely if I wanted to have to carry all the shower stuff with me to a different floor bathroom I would of just booked a hostel, not a hilton hotel. Also had a phone charger go "missing" by housekeeping which delayed my check out by 30mins waiting for staff to run around and get it back. Breakfast was rubbish, eggs sat in tray of water, previous days beans reheated.
