Our room windows were extremely dirty, there was dirty bed linen in the wardrobe and the tv remote was in pieces which I have pictures of. When going to eat at hotel restaurant was charged full price but it was on the government eat out to help out list. When asked about this, I was told it was a mistake by the government.

Room was a bit shabby seat stained carpet not clean. Tv remote didn’t work. Toiletries not full. Turned up at restaurant with 7 pm booking to be told they weren’t going to seat anyone for 20 mins and I could have a drink in the bar. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

overnight break

room well decorated obviously very recently as there was a strong odour of wall paper paste which seemed to permeate everything in the room. Was very quiet and curtains cut out all light so we slept well.breakfast was good. Staff on arrival didnt give us any information about hotel amenities which we have always been given verbally at other hotels in holiday inn chain, We were able to read basics on the in house tv.overall for what we had paid it was still extremely good value.

Convenient for our overnight stay

We were visiting family in Cardiff. They are scattered around the area, so this was as good a base as any. The rooms are a good size and comfortable. Breakfast costs about £14 each, which we thought was rather pricey, so we went to McDonalds (not a place we'd usually consider) and had breakfast for 4 for less than £14.
