This hotel has been renovated by a new group since we last lasted and the standard is excellent. The staff were very helpful throughout and couldn’t have done more to make our stay a great one. Our room was cosy (small) but well designed / organised and the bed was comfortable. The gym and spa area were well worth the stay too. Definitely looking forward to returning again!

Nice hotel in great location. Entrance is very underwheming with a very stiff door. Guests would benefit from there being staff on hand to assist. Very disappointed that despite us booking this hotel because of it's spa facilities these were in fact closed for the duration of our stay. Room very comfortable and staff friendly.

dissapointing

Pros: the spa facilities were nice, I'm sure the rooms which are clean are lovely (our first 2 rooms were great but not air conditioned)
Cons: ensure bookings are correct. reply to complaints, clean room 212.
hotel is directly on the promenade and has spa facilities. The hotel is not 100% air conditioned and you must pay extra for an air-conditioned room - this does not guarantee air conditioning though as we found out. After being moved on our 3rd time we were downgraded to a room with air conditioning (this was during a heatwave weekend) we were put in one of the smallest rooms in the hotel which had bunk beds. This room was dirty, hadn't been cleaned, there were pins on the floor, it was not vacuumed and had mould stains on the wall. Complaint has been raised with the hotel and I am still awaiting their response after 2 weeks. Please note I provided the hotel with 2 weeks to reply to my complaint prior to posting this review, after 2 follow up emails I didn't get any update.

Great SPA weekend

Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: tea at the SPA was missing
We loved everything about our stay. Rooms are great, food is excellent, some guys at the reception are a bit slow, SPA can get a bit overcrowded, but it's all great. Would be nice to have hot drink (as mentioned - herbal tea) in the SPA as iced water plus hot air really doesn't do good for your throat. SPA facilities are great. Breakfast is well worth £10! We will come back for sure.

Work in progress in busy location

Pros: Sea views, very near shops, bars restaurants and beach. Great Spa included in stay
Cons: Double glazing. Air conditioning. Lifts in good working order (they were being repaired as we left)
Location: Very good location for beach, BA360, shops in the Lanes, places to eat at all prices.
We were pleasantly surprised that we had been moved to a seafront room, which had lovely views of sunrise and sunsets. However, the room did suffer from the sun warming the room during the day (as the double glazing was basic, to say the least), and a mystery heat source during the night that raised the room temperature to 26c. When reported to reception it was suggested we had the air con unit on all night, which was, of course, a very noisy standalone unit. This combined with noisy nightclubs (even on a Monday and Tuesday night), made sleep difficult in this room. The staff were very nice and helpful, the Spa a real asset to the hotel. However, the main lift was out of order and getting down to the Spa for treatments and exercising for a painful knee was difficult. The location, while noisy, was great for getting around all the restaurants, bars and shops in Brighton. We didn't eat in the hotel as it was nice weather for a coffee in one of the many beach cafes just opposite the hotel.

Noisy hotel

Lovely rooms and decor but service wasn't brilliant, it was exceptionally loud both in terms of the noise from the clubs outside and the people in the room above with a creaky floor and the breakfast was extortionately expensive and very poor.
